For the maintenance of stainless steel PVD products, the following points should be noted:
During daily maintenance, it is recommended to avoid using strong acids, strong alkalies, or highly abrasive cleaners such as toilet cleaners, paint strippers, or metal cleaners to prevent damage to the PVD coating. If any surface contaminants are present, weak acids or weak alkalines should be used for cleaning.
When cleaning, it is important to avoid using rough or sharp objects to clean the surface, especially the mirror-polished surface, to prevent scratching. For sandblasted or brushed surfaces, cleaning should be done along the grain to avoid scratching.
If there is dust or easily removable dirt on the surface, it can be cleaned with a soft cloth and water. For composition (Bonder), use alcohol or organic solvent (benzene) to clean.
If the surface is contaminated with bleach or acid, it should be washed immediately with water, followed by soaking in a solution of ammonia or neutral carbonate soda water, and finally cleaned with a neutral detergent or warm water.
If the surface appears to have rainbow striations, it may be due to the use of excessive cleaning agents or lubricants. Cleaning can be done with warm water and neutral detergent.
It is prohibited to use cleaning agents containing bleach or abrasive components, such as steel wools or abrasive tools, to avoid corrosion of the surface by residual cleaners. After cleaning, the surface should be rinsed with clean water.
It is forbidden to expose the product to strong acids or alkalies to prevent damage to the coating.
By following the above maintenance methods, the surface quality and service life of stainless steel PVD coating products can be effectively protected. At the same time, regular inspections and maintenance should be carried out to ensure long-term stable operation of the product.
